Word and Story (كلمة وقصة) is a graded Arabic reading series designed to help young learners gradually develop their Arabic reading skills, comprehension, and vocabulary through a collection of engaging, age-appropriate stories.

The series is available in two progressive levels, with 12 stories in each level. Within each level, the stories progress gradually from easier to more challenging texts, allowing children to build confidence and strengthen their reading abilities step by step.

Each story is accompanied by a variety of activities and exercises designed to reinforce what students have read, strengthen their understanding, and assess how well they have learned and comprehended the material.

A Progressive Approach to Arabic Reading

The series follows a graded reading approach, carefully moving learners from simpler stories and language structures toward more challenging reading material.

The Level 1 stories provide children with a broad range of familiar subjects while maintaining a gradual increase in reading difficulty.

Level 2 – المستوى الثاني

Level 2 continues the graded reading journey with slightly more developed themes and language. Children encounter stories about family, home, colors, the world, seasons, transportation, celebrations, writing, and relationships.

Level 2 builds on the reading foundation developed in Level 1, giving learners continued practice with progressively more challenging stories and vocabulary.

Reinforcement Activities

A key feature of Word and Story is that reading does not end when the story does.

سلسلة «كلمة وقصة» هي سلسلة متدرجة في القراءة باللغة العربية، تهدف إلى تنمية مهارات القراءة والفهم، وإثراء الحصيلة اللغوية لدى الأطفال من خلال مجموعة من القصص الشيقة والمناسبة لمستوى المتعلم.

تتكون السلسلة من مستويين متدرجين، ويضم كل مستوى 12 قصة، بحيث تنتقل القصص تدريجيًا من السهولة إلى الصعوبة، مما يساعد الطفل على تطوير مهاراته القرائية خطوةً خطوة، وبناء ثقته بنفسه أثناء القراءة.
