Safar Islamic Studies

The third edition of the Safar Islamic Studies series is an eight-level curriculum designed to progressively build children's essential Islamic knowledge, cultivate good character, and develop a strong sense of God-consciousness (taqwa).

Drawing extensively from the Qur’an and authentic ahadith, the third edition has been carefully developed to provide children with a learning experience that is both comprehensive and reliable, as well as engaging and enjoyable.

A Comprehensive Islamic Studies Curriculum

Across the eight levels, the series provides a structured and progressive approach to Islamic education. Core areas of Islamic learning are integrated throughout the curriculum, including:

The wider Safar curriculum consists of four complementary components that are designed to cross-link and reinforce one another:

2. Tajweed
3. Qur’an Memorization
4. Arabic

This integrated approach allows students to connect their Islamic knowledge with Qur’anic understanding, Arabic language skills, and practical religious learning.

Textbook + Workbook

Each level includes a Textbook and Workbook.

The Textbook presents the core Islamic knowledge through age-appropriate lessons, engaging explanations, illustrations, and activities.

The Workbook complements the teaching methodology by helping students review, reinforce, and assess what they have learned. It includes standard-level questions to consolidate core knowledge as well as more advanced questions that encourage students to think creatively and engage more deeply with the material.

Unit-Based Structure
The curriculum follows a clear unit-based structure covering areas such as Essential Knowledge, Essential Beliefs, Fiqh, Islamic History, Contemporary Issues, Islam and the Social World, and Spiritual and Moral Development.
