In The Arabic Language Garden – Level 1 Workbook

The first level in the “In The Arabic Language Garden” series, designed for elementary-level non-Arabic speakers starting from ages 6–7 years. It can also be used with teenagers up to 15 years old who have not previously studied the Arabic language.

Educational Content

The educational material consists of 180 pages, distributed across two books: Textbook + Workbook.

The level contains 28 educational lessons, corresponding to the number of letters in the Arabic alphabet. Each lesson consists of 6 pages:

• 4 pages in the Textbook

• 2 pages in the Workbook

Attractive, Student-Friendly Design

Both books are designed and produced in full color, with large, clear lettering and an artistic, engaging style. They feature modern, high-quality pictures and illustrations designed to attract non-Arabic-speaking students to learning Arabic, encourage them to love the book, and motivate them to interact with its content.

Learning Arabic Letters and Sounds

At this level, students learn to recognize the Arabic alphabet in alphabetical order using the synthesis method. They also develop the ability to:

• Recognize and distinguish between Arabic letters in both reading and writing.

• Identify each letter in its isolated form and in its different written forms at the beginning, middle, and end of a word.

• Distinguish between letter sounds when accompanied by fatha, damma, kasra, sukoon, and tanween.

• Distinguish between the sounds of the long vowels (Alif, Waw, and Yaa).

• Distinguish between letters that are similar in pronunciation and those that are similar in written form.

• Become familiar with pictures representing nouns, verbs, and opposites related to the student's surrounding environment.

Word Analysis and Synthesis

For the first time in Arabic language teaching curricula, the book applies the skill of analyzing and synthesizing words, which plays an important role in helping students read and write Arabic words quickly and easily.

Spelling and Dictation

Pages 116–117 include a proposed spelling course designed to reinforce the skills related to learning Arabic letters, their short vowels, long vowels, and tanween, while helping students clearly distinguish between letters that are similar in writing and pronunciation.

The dictation material is closely connected to the main textbook, helping students strengthen their writing skills through practical application.

Illustrated Dictionary

Pages 118–119 contain a detailed index showing the distribution of the pictures throughout the book. This makes it easier for students and teachers to locate the illustrations and is presented as an Illustrated Dictionary.

Writing and Copying Skills

The book helps students develop fluency in writing all the letters of the Arabic alphabet, while distinguishing between letters that are similar in pronunciation or written form.

Students also acquire the skill of copying through a variety of engaging methods and gradually become accustomed to writing from right to left, as required in Arabic writing and calligraphy.

Drawing and Coloring Activities

The book also includes drawing and coloring activities presented in an attractive and engaging way. These activities aim to develop the student's imagination while refining their artistic and aesthetic sense.

المستوى الأول من سلسلة «في حديقة اللغة العربية»، والمصمم لغير الناطقين باللغة العربية في المرحلة الابتدائية، ابتداءً من عمر 6–7 سنوات. كما يمكن استخدامه مع المراهقين حتى سن 15 عامًا ممن لم يسبق لهم تعلم اللغة العربية.

المحتوى التعليمي

تتكون المادة التعليمية من 180 صفحة، موزعة على كتابين: كتاب الطالب + كتاب النشاط.

ويشتمل هذا المستوى على 28 درسًا تعليميًا، بعدد حروف الهجاء العربية. ويتكون كل درس من 6 صفحات:

• 4 صفحات في كتاب الطالب.

• صفحتان في كتاب النشاط.

تصميم جذاب ومناسب للطلاب

صُمم الكتابان وأُنتجا بالألوان الكاملة، مع استخدام خطوط كبيرة وواضحة، وإخراج فني بأسلوب شيق وجذاب. كما يشتملان على صور ورسومات حديثة وعالية الجودة، بهدف جذب الطلاب غير الناطقين بالعربية إلى تعلم اللغة العربية، وتشجيعهم على حب الكتاب والتفاعل مع محتواه.

تعلم الحروف والأصوات العربية

يتعلم الطلاب في هذا المستوى التعرف على حروف الهجاء العربية بالترتيب الأبجدي باستخدام طريقة التركيب، بالإضافة إلى اكتساب القدرة على:

• التعرف على الحروف العربية والتمييز بينها قراءةً وكتابةً.

• التعرف على الحرف في صورته المجردة وفي جميع أشكال كتابته في أول الكلمة ووسطها وآخرها.

• التمييز بين أصوات الحروف مع الفتحة والضمة والكسرة والسكون والتنوين.

• التمييز بين أصوات حروف المد: الألف والواو والياء.

• التمييز بين الحروف المتشابهة في النطق والحروف المتشابهة في الرسم والكتابة.

• التعرف على الصور التي تعبر عن الأسماء والأفعال والأضداد المرتبطة بالبيئة المحيطة بالطالب.

تحليل الكلمات وتركيبها

ولأول مرة في مناهج تعليم اللغة العربية، يتم تطبيق مهارة تحليل الكلمة وتركيبها، لما لها من دور كبير في مساعدة الطالب على قراءة الكلمة العربية وكتابتها بسرعة وسهولة.

الإملاء

تتضمن الصفحتان 116–117 مقترحًا لـ منهج الإملاء، بهدف ترسيخ المهارات المرتبطة بتعلم الحروف وحركاتها ومدودها وتنوينها، وتعزيز قدرة الطالب على التمييز بوضوح بين الحروف المتشابهة في الكتابة والنطق.

كما ترتبط مادة الإملاء ارتباطًا وثيقًا بالكتاب الأساسي، بما يساعد على تعزيز مهارات الكتابة لدى الطالب من خلال التطبيق العملي.

المعجم المصور

تتضمن الصفحتان 118–119 فهرسًا تفصيليًا لتوزيع الصور داخل الكتاب، مما يسهل الوصول إليها والاستفادة منها، وقد سُمّي هذا القسم «المعجم المصور».

تنمية مهارات الكتابة والنسخ

يساعد الكتاب الطالب على اكتساب الطلاقة في كتابة جميع حروف الهجاء العربية، والتمييز بين الحروف المتشابهة في النطق أو الرسم.

كما يكسب الطالب مهارة النسخ من خلال العديد من الأساليب الشيقة والجذابة، ويعوّده على الكتابة من اليمين إلى اليسار، كما هو الحال في الخط العربي.

أنشطة الرسم والتلوين

يحتوي الكتاب أيضًا على أنشطة للرسم والتلوين بأسلوب جذاب وممتع، تهدف إلى تنمية خيال الطالب وصقل ذوقه الفني والجمالي.
